A Yemeni man working on security issues with the US embassy in the capital Sanaa has been killed in a drive-by shooting.
Qassem Aqlani was going to work when he was shot dead by a man on a motorbike, Yemeni and embassy officials said. Mr Aqlani had worked at the embassy for nearly 20 years, AP news agency said.
According to another report, he was in charge of co-ordinating an investigation into an attack on the embassy last month.
During protests against an anti-Islam film made in the US, demonstrators briefly stormed the embassy grounds and burnt the US flag.
They were driven back by security forces.
