For Liverpool fans today's game was another painful reminder of how bad this season is going to be. As much as I wanna say the team had a good game, but I will be lying. It will be just trying to pretend it was bad luck while the truth is there is no clear indication where the goals will be coming from this season. The team did bad on the transfer window by letting players go without replacing them, now there are limited options for strikers. The two senior team strikers left on the team lacked the natural instincts of a goal scorers and often they made bad choices. In my opinion Liverpool should have hang on to Andy Carrol. They needed that option of changing tactical part of the game something Carrol provided them.
Borini did not look like a striker that could pose any serious threat to any opposition.
New managers game style is of passing and possession, to be able to play this style the players will have to be more comfortable with the ball on their feet. They need to be more creative and play the passing game with purpose and not just for possession sake. Liverpool passing lacked the cutting edge and creativity was a miss. They gave away way too many balls, and most of the time they made a lazy attempt to getting the ball back. If this style of play continues I am afraid when xmas transfer window comes the team will be looking for player to keep the team afloat rather than to challenge up top.
